Introduction	I am an employee, student, volunteer and aspiring social media marketer that just happens to love the city she grew up in. I was born and raised in Detroit (actually in the city), with little bad and a lot of good. I've seen Detroit and it is not the crime infested wasteland the media would lead us to believe. I see Detroit as my next door neighbor; the holocaust survivor that shares a bit of wisdom with me every time I see her. I see Detroit as the high school friends that have built their own legacy of tenacity while achieving local fame. I see Detroit as my mother and father who came from poor means, but both managed to become successful engineers despite previous economic hurdles. Detroit is not a city. Detroit is a city full of ambitious, talented and driven people that just won't let the city die. I'd like to consider myself to be one of those people. In fact, I write this blog as a call to action for all Detroit natives. Put some work back into the city to bring it back to life. So Detroit, what have you planted today?
