| Introduction | My roots go back to both England and Ireland. A gentleman named Sir Walter Tyrrell--who sailed the English Channel with William the Conqueror in 1066--was responsible for accidently shooting a fatal arrow into the neck of William Rufus, son of William the Conqueror and heir to the throne of England. Another of my line, Sir James Tyrrell, supposedly later snuffed out King Richard III's nephews, also heirs to the English throne. My picture is the crest and shield of Sir Edward Tyrrell, son of Edmund Tyrrell and grandson of Captain Richard Tyrrell of Tyrrell's Pass, Ireland, in the County of West Meathe. Anything else you want to know about me? Then "google" Ted Tyrrell. |
