Introduction	I am a mom, wife, chemistry teacher and former research engineer. I have taught in Fairfax County Public Schools for 5 years and in a private school for 2. I have close to ten years experience in the chemical and advanced materials research fields, first at Westvaco Research Laboratory and then at Johns Hopkins University /Applied Physics Lab. I hold two U.S. patents and one international patent, an Associate of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering Technology, a Bachelors of Science in Electronics Engineering and am working towards my Masters in Education. After my second child was born I stayed home focused on my children and was a leader in my community. Returning to the work force as a teacher I have brought real world experiences to my lectures and labs. I found the state-of-the-art technology and teaching methods at Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) challenging, exciting and rewarding. I am now interested in going beyond our course management system and developing an interactive web-based course.
