| Introduction | It is my honor to report that I am a graduate of the Jivamukti Yoga School 350 hour teacher training program and a lifetime student of the Jivamukti Yoga School. Soon after Sept. 11, 2001 while living in NYC I went to Jivamukti for the first time. From that day yoga has been a part of my life and through my yoga practice my perspective on science, society, the environment, and the world in general has evolved and continues to do so. I have B.S. and M.S. degrees from Purdue and a Ph.D. in Food Science/chemistry from UMass. I think that science can make significant and lasting contributions to the betterment of mankind and our earth, but that we need to implement an ethical, sustainable approach to how that science is used. In an effort to serve I work for the FDA in Washington, DC and I teach Jivamukti yoga. Om shantih. |
