Industry Student
Introduction Grounded solidly in the teachings of Charlie Munger, Warren Buffett and Lauren Templeton and emboldened by the power of compounding, Maya began her investing journey at age nine. At the age of ten, Maya was invited to the Motley Fool’s “College Women and Investing” conference. At fourteen, Maya was the first female investor invited to speak to the Google Investment group. Maya now is a newly minted fifteen-year-old who loves a good profit margin, hard math problems, and to share her experience as part owner of a large range of companies. She spent her summer consulting with a team of seasoned investors at the Motley Fool on their Fools in Schools initiative. With her unique lens and qualified voice, her blog, Compounding Snowballs, has peaked the interest of investors worldwide. She has been tweeted and retweeted, quoted, and hashtagged. She has been mentioned by Jason Zweig of the Wall Street Journal, Monevator Blog, and Ben Carlson (A Wealth of Common Sense), and enthusiastically followed by some of the best in the industry who happily shared their experience and thoughts in Maya’s book, Early Bird.
