In 2001 I completed my PhD in ecodesign at Cranfield Uni. For the past 10 years I have been very active in developing research in the field of ecodesign and sustainability. I have worked with multidisciplinary teams from AB Electrolux, Huntleigh Technology, Acordis, Jaeger and Boots covering packaging, textiles, consumer electronics, medical and brown goods. I also have 6 years ecodesign consultancy experience (DCA Design, Capital Standards, Giraffe Innovation/ RSA, Practical Action and GSK), projects have included integrating ecodesign thinking into live design projects, developing educational material for the RSA WEEE man project, investigating implications of the WEEE directive on a new product range and developing conceptual product/packaging scenarios.
