| Introduction | I was born and raised in Omaha, NE and attended Colorado Institute of Art in Denver. 23 years ago, I married my wonderful husband, Mike. Together we are raising 3 beautiful daughters. We share our home with an adorable, 70 lb. Golden Doodle (Bentley), a typical cat (Miley) AND a guinea pig with a cute cowlick (Professor Nigel). We lived in Omaha until 2000 and since have lived in Illinois, Kansas and Arizona. We recently moved back to Wichita, KS. |
| Interests | Scrapbooking came naturally to me when I was first introduced to the concept nearly 17 years ago. I have always loved photography, have a degree in graphic design, and worked as a Designer/Art Director “back in the day”. Admittedly, I was skeptical at first about “cropping” my precious photographs, and “gluing” them onto paper with “stickers and stuff”. A couple years into it, much more appealing products began to appear in the marketplace and I became more enthusiastic about this hobby. It was the beginning of my journey into a scrapbooking galaxy, from which I would never return. I take more photographs than I -- or any army of creative’s could ever get scrapbooked. I like to be very organized, have paper hoarding tendencies, and have a love for ribbon & buttons. The most enjoyable times scrapbooking are spent with my daughters, sisters, mother-in-law and friends or attending crops. But, the time I spend alone in my studio is when my creativity erupts and I am most productive. Besides scrapbooking, I also enjoy cooking, cake decorating, party/event planning, & gardening. My favorite colors are pink, red and green – can’t pick just one. Other things that make me happy include any mexican food (especially salsa), crab legs, ripe red strawberries, flowers, Christmas, the mountains & every square inch of Switzerland. |
