Introduction Hello, I'm Stephanie.I'm a twenty-something American, and I have been interested in Japan for as long as I can remember. I think my interest really took off in junior high school through watching an ungodly amount of anime (same old story as most). I assure you, however, that my interest in Japan extends much further. I went to college at the University of Minnesota and got a Bachelor's degree in Japanese Studies. I studied the Japanese language formally for only 3 1/2 years before moving here, but now consider myself to be quite fluent. Outside of the language and anime, I'm a fan of Japanese film, everyday culture, fashion, architecture, food, and the Japanese tea ceremony. I've been studying the Japanese tea ceremony for a few years now. I first accomplished my goal of visiting Japan in the summer of 2011 when I came for three weeks to travel on my own. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I've been living here a while now, and though magic feeling has worn off for the most part, I still find living here to to be a rewarding experience.
