Introduction Gene Felder has lived in Laguna Beach since 1986 and has been involved organizing many events and been engaged in many issues of public policy. Since 1988, he has served on the Top of the World Neighborhood Association Board of Directors, a number of times as President, providing leadership in:  Preserving the Laguna Heights open space  Stopping El Toro Airport  Preserving public views Gene has been the long time Vice-President of the Laguna Canyon Conservancy including during the 1989 Walk in the Canyon providing leadership in:  Saving Laguna Canyon  Stopping Irvine Company’s Laguna Laurel development  Trying to stop Toll Road  Trying to restore Laguna Creek Gene was Chair of Save Laguna Art Museum and instrumental in Festival of Arts issues, providing leadership in:  Keeping the Laguna Art Museum independent in Laguna Beach  Keeping Pageant of the Masters a unique Laguna venue Since 2001, Gene Felder has been on the Board of the Laguna Beach Historical Society, President from 2001 to 2006. For many years in the late 1980s and early 1990s, he was on the board of Village Laguna trying to preserve the village atmosphere of Laguna Beach.
