Favorite Books I have loved so many books that it is almost an exercise in absurdity for me to pick out favorites. I will, however, list some that I think everyone should read. Anything by Dickens, anything by Tom Clancy, anything by Clive Cussler, anything by Dan Brown, anything by Alexandre Dumas, anything by Jan Karon, the Harry Potter series, The Autobiography of Manfred von Richtoven, The Autobiography of Davy Crockett (the congressman, not the gunsmith), The Autobiography of Frederick Douglass, short stories by Damon Runyon, short stories by Ernest Thompson Seton, the short stories of Guy DeMaupassant that deal with the Franco-Prussian War and a few of his other stories, Three Men in a Boat, Mark Twain essays, Mark Twain short stories (or sketches from his longer works), Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, A Dog's Tale, William Wilson (Poe), some of the finer efforts by Louis L'Amour, The Cowboy and the Cossack (Huffaker), gun writing by Finn Agaard, Elmer Keith, Jack O'Connor, Clair Rees, "Pondoro" Taylor, and Jim Corbett (the tiger shooter, not the heavyweight champion.)I'll add to this list as titles or authors come back to me.

You can punch a hole in an apple using a straw. How do you think that makes your milkshake feel?

Hopelessly inadequate.
