| Introduction | I'm a RN, wife, new mama, and dog mama hanging out here in Michigan. I graduated nursing school in December of 2005 after working for almost 5 years in the Froedtert Surgical ICU. After graduating I decided that working in a level 1 Trauma Center ER would be sufficient enough of a challenge for a new grad. I worked in the UUHSC ER for about 2.5 years and loved my job and especially loved my coworkers, most of them at least, there was no end to the dynamics of my job. I hated dealing with manipulative drug seekers, although I got better at it every time. I loved traumas, I liked taking care of the little kids who were not Primary Children's transferrable, and I loved learning about the intracacies burn treatments. My husband, Tom, finished his residency in July in general pediatrics and is for the first time in 12 years be doing something outside of academia. Unbelievable that we've finally reached the end of this med school/residency journey. (and it's been one hell of a hard journey on both of us) Sammy, my beautiful little baby boy was born on March 5th 2008. He changes so much every single day, I can't believe it. I am absolutely fascinated by how he grows. |
