Introduction	I am the mother of a 12 year old boy, a 1 year old boy, and Nara, my daughter. PPROM (Preterm Premature Rupture of Membrane) happened at 17 weeks gestation. For 7 weeks I was on strict, bedpan style bed rest under the care of my mother and husband before transferring to a hospital 4 hrs away with a NICU once we reached age of "viability". I was there for only a week and 2 days before the chord prolapsed and they needed to deliver my daughter via emergency c-section. My amnio sack never reclosed. The lack of fluid meant her lung development was stunted at 20 weeks gestation even though she was at 25 weeks and 2 days. She was perfect in every way but her lungs. When she was 28 hours old, we were told it was time to say good-bye and my husband and I held her for our first and last time. I'm trying to figure out who I am from here, how to move forward.
