| Introduction | I’m Julia Moffitt (Julie), a Ph.D. level cardiovascular/exercise physiologist and avid, but average runner. I am a former career academic working as a medical writer. I occasionally teach in the content areas of physiology & biology, give talks to the community regarding cardiovascular health and various topics on exercise and have previously and been consulted by Runner's World on a few articles. I ran my first marathon in 1997 and have been running consistently since 2008 when I began a quest to run the Boston Marathon. My running has evolved over the years, and I most enjoy running trails and ultramarathons and recently completed a 9-year quest to run the Western States 100. |
