| Introduction | I grew up going to church but didn't understand the significance of Jesus' atoning sacrifice until age 12. A friend of the pastor came and shared the gospel in such a way that planted a seed in me. That seed fully came to fruition when I was 24 and deathly ill for the last 7 years. Imagine having the flu but not able to throw up for days on end with only one or two "normal" feeling days a month. No doctor could figure anything out that was wrong with me. But on Easter weekend of 2008, I cried out to God in a prayer from my heart acknowledging that I needed Him to save me and help me through this life. I started reading the bible and now the words were jumping off the page. I could hardly put it down and read 20-30 chapters a day. However it wasn't until I was taught how to rightly divide the word of truth that I truly understood what I was reading. God has provided all of my education in His word, shared through other pastors that are diligently seeking what it says. This blog is to share what I've discovered in my studies in an effort to aid as many as come by in the spiritual life. |
