| Introduction | I work with some great people, my job offers me the chance to meet some interesting people in music, film and TV. I thought this might be a place to put some of those encounters...I am a drummer, have played in many bands since I was a nipper. I converted my garage into a useful recording studio, which holds my synths, samplers, grooveboxes and sundry gizmos. I record with friends and other musos. You can hear some of the stuff we have recored from the links below. I work with various media companies, and have got to know many interesting people from all over. There are pix in the blog. Unfortunately I haven't pix of...the dinner with Tilda Swinton, the brief encounter with Led Zep's Robert Plant, the quick chat with Ron Sexsmith, the French near-miss with Amy Winehouse, Peter Gabriels "bouncer" sweeping me out of the great mans way, schmoozing Yello's Deiter Mier, a blether with Oscar winning animator Richard Williams, why Sylvain Chomet has no time for the likes of me, the time I stood on Kate Melua's wee big toe, and looking after actor Brian Cox's wife. The teenage encounters with Ian Dury, Elvis Costello and Nick Low. And on, and on...all true! :) |
