IntroductionA diagnosis of Stage II Invasive Ductile Cacinoma (AKA Breast Cancer) was made in December, 2007. Her treatment plan began with a surgical biopsy of the tumor which measured in at 1.1 centimeters. The cells have a moderate indication of aggression, but are sensitive to hormones. Her cancer has spread into at least three lymph node (based on a needle biopsy & PET Scan. Her treatment plan is: - Chemo consisting of four doses of two drugs. Then more Chemo consisting of 12 doses of two different drugs. Surgery to remove the margins around the original tumor, and affected lyph nodes. Radiation therapy for six weeks with a dose given every day. Continue on Herceptin a drug designed for agressive forms of Breast Cancer that are HER2+ until March 2009 Hormone therapy for the next five years after Radiation therapy.
