Location Joseph, Oregon, United States
Introduction Born and raised on the East Coast, moved to the Left Coast in 1972. I've recently re-located to stunningly beautiful Joseph, Oregon, 4200 feet up in the Wallowa Mountains and at the precipice of the deepest gorge in North America - Hells Canyon. The raw beauty of this place takes my breath away. Before moving here to refocus my life, I taught economics and worked in the electric power industry for two decades (yes, you read that right). I often find myself just sitting watching the light dance off Chief Joseph Mountain, the large mountain behind town. It's visible from my living room and backyard. A gem of a day is a day breathing!

If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?

I wouldn't try not to laugh.
