Introduction	We were diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), formerly Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD) in 1991, confirmed in 1997 by two additional experts in the field. We refer to our system of alters as The Inner Family, each of us trying to help the system cope and thrive, despite our experiences of child abuse.
