| Introduction | I am a creative arts therapist providing innovative support for women with chronic illnesses/chronic issues in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology through arts-based workshops. The developmental concept for my workshops was inspired by living in isolation with endometriosis, the place the arts played to empower me through my health care experiences, and research in the field of creative arts therapy. Connecting with others, sharing experiences, and expressing experiences through positive life-enhancing means are the keys to living well with any chronic illness. I run workshops for women with endometriosis, ovarian cancer and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)and women going through IVF - and also workshops for people who wish to engage in the arts for relaxation,self-reflection or reengaging with creativity. |
