| Introduction | I am now retired after twenty years as a lecturer in Film Studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. Prior to that I was a film reviewer for 25 years for the Evening Times in Glasgow and many other publications. My academic interest is early cinema and in 2018 I was awarded a PhD for my work on the development of early film audiences in Glasgow. |
