| Introduction | I do not have a strong political stance. But I do know that I don't particularly believe in political parties. I think that people seem to be too influenced by their party, just because they have declared themselves a Republican, etc. I think committing to a party takes away from really evaluating each individual issue. I know what I believe in, but I don't feel that there is a party that expresses all of my thoughts. Being from Michigan, and living in Austin, I do however tend to agree more with liberals and democrats. I don't have much free time being a UT nursing student, so i regretfully don't spend much time watching the news. Im interested to see what the knowledge I gain from this class will do for my personal opinion. |
