| Introduction | I was born in Puerto Rico but was raised on the mainland. I speak, read and write Spanish fluently. I worked 38 years in journalism and retired as editor of a daily newspaper in California, Aeons ago I worked as a publicist for Universal Pictures in New York. I've been married to the same wonderful woman since 1969. We have two kids and a grandchild. Though I'm retired, I keep my hand in; I am doing a bit of consulting for a local weekly and having a ball doing it. I also work part-time for a company doing Spanish-language surveys of people just released from hospitals. |
