Fumbling towards Motherhood

| Introduction | In 2005 I married my wonderful husband. I had it all planned out, wedding, house, kids. Everything seemed to fall into place ...until we got to the kids part of my plan. Our first child, a boy we named Zachary passed away in-utero due to a chromosomal disorder in July 2007 at 18 weeks. Then I suffered two back to back miscarriages. One in January 2008 at 5 weeks, and another in December 2008 at 5 weeks. When I lost Zachary, my plans and dreams took a back seat. I struggled everyday to understand, explain and overcome recurrent miscarriage. In 2009 I was diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome. In 2010 and 2013 I took daily heparin injections throughout my new pregnancies and am now Mommy to a healthy daughter and son. This is my story. |
