| Introduction | I am a mother to my four wonderful children. I have three fantastic boys and a super sweet daughter; Kaden 5, Hunter 4, Hugo 2, and baby Violet, 1. My middle son, Hunter was born with down syndrome. He required open heart surgery at 2 months of age to repair a VSD and PDA. Two days after Hunter's heart surgery he required an omentum repair after a chest tube malfunction. From there, life was going smoothly until June of 2008. Hunter was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms, and has been battling seizures on a daily basis ever since. Hunter has tried countless medications, injections, and the ketogenic diet, but has not won his battle with seizures YET! |
