Introduction	Greetings! I am Derun “Irene” Li, a fourth-year Fundamentals major studying at UChicago, doing Media Arts and Design stuff. As a literature enthusiast, I prioritize narrative games and view the potential of games to be their ability to push the boundaries of storytelling. My ultimate mission as a game developer (?) is to experiment with the visual, narrative, and mechanical dimensions of a game so as to challenge what has been traditionally assumed of this medium; I wish that one day, I could be in a position to say, I have done my work to prove that traditional subjects such as art and philosophy can now happen “through other means.” Games, I believe, can learn and draw from the long history of literature, theater, films, and philosophy; I see the medium situating itself at the crossroad of all these forms of art and schools of thought one day, and this will be a milestone in its endeavor to boldly go where none of them has gone before.
