Followed closely by Post Natal Depression (PND) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) What came next was an epic journey through the ups and downs of life as a young first time mum dealing with mental health: The BAD (severe PND & PTSD, anxiety, sexual abuse, hospital admissions, dealings with CYFs (child protection), extended family issues, birth trauma, medications, the down side of modern psychiatry, self-harming, etc The GOOD: getting better! Getting through PND, the joy and love that has come into our lives from our daughter, the friends I've made, the life lessons I've learned etc And everything in between that comes when you are a parent :-) |
