Introduction	I qualified, to ample personal surprise, as a mental health nurse in July 2007. I work in Ledbury, a town in England, U.K. and am based on an Aquired Brain Injury unit. I have parents in their early seventies and a nan who is 96 and was born in 1912, the year the Titanic had a startling encounter with an ice-berg and went in the general direction of downwards. I have an older brother (Mark) and a wonderful son (Matthew) who was born in 1998. I am divorced and currently single, interspersed with romantic interludes. I am left-handed and allergic to kiwi fruit and latex rubber (which puts paid to that particular dual fantasy) and once walked naked in a hurricane in Mexico, after losing a drunken hand of cards against my then girlfriend. I live in the rural heart of England and love my little cottage. I follow the tragic fortunes of my hometown football club, Birmingham City. I love travel and want to go to many countries, but financial strangulation limits me to the U.K. With this in mind, my brother and I take week-long and pain-filled hikes around the U.K. and then write journals about our suffering.
