Introduction	Born in the Bronx, NY in 1973, Marylin grew up in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. A very shy child, she often felt misunderstood. Captivated at first by drawing and drama, she realized later on that she expressed her feelings better once her words and her inner-self were put together. In 1993, she moved back to New York. She has been writing poetry as her refuge from the daily life and from society. Someone once told her that she was a dreamer, that her thoughts of reality were just dreams. Loving her dream world, she developed a passion for writing that she is now ready to share with the world. She felt she could positively impact those whose hearts have been touched by her words. She made the decision to pursue her dream, inspiring others through her books. As she continues to dream, her nightmares have been stained with a constant longing for peace and happiness. The only means to soothe her soul has been and continues to be her beloved poetry. She has discovered self-acceptance, self-love and self-gratification that she feels compelled to express through metaphors.
