| Introduction | Tara is a 2007 cum laude graduate of Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. She holds a Bachelors degree in Pre-Med Health Science with a double minor in Biology and Psychology, and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. Tara is currently working on her Masters degree in Health Administration at the University of Memphis. She is a member of the University of Memphis Healthcare Executives, ACHE, HFMA, and a graduate assistant in Administration at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center. Tara has volunteered with the Childrens Miracle Network, Preferred Family Health Center, and Normile Juvenile Center as a mentor and health advocate. She is also a certified smoking cessation instructor, a certified geriatric exercise specialist, an HIV/AIDS education instructor, and has participated in numerous health-related research projects during her years at Truman. She currently is a member of the National Eating Disorders Association and the Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee, and has traveled across the states of Missouri, Illinois, and Tennessee promoting her platform, Education & Awareness of Eating Disorders, to grade school through college-aged students. |
