| Introduction | I've created this blog because I love food. And I already talk about food 80% of the day (ask my friends) and think about food 92.5% of the day. I give much deserved credit to my mother, Christine, who gave us the (now-a-days) rare childhood experience of rolling out flaky homemade pie dough and hand stretching strudel. I always had a passion for food, but didn't start cooking until the summer before my senior year in college, living on my own for the first time. I found that I have sort of a knack for it. Maybe it's in my genes, or in the passed down wisdom, or maybe I've just eaten enough awesomely awesome food to know what's good. Either way, I love food and cooking and want to share my secrets with anyone who will listen..or read.. I want to stress something here, however. A "preliminary warning.” You will NOT find on this blog: recipes, cook/prep time, or a list of ingredients. My style, passion, and the way I taught myself how to cook is by using what I have in front of me. Growing that intuition inside. Having the courage to try something I don't know will work. This is how I got better. And this is how you will become a cook with no fear. Now please enjoy! |
