| Introduction | The name of this blog comes from the famous quote by Friedrich Nietzsche: "The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself." Nietzsche provides a general description of what I hope to focus on with this blog. I will explore why we do the things we do and believe the things we believe, and what it means to take ownership. Often I will present open ended hypothesis that I intend to spur discussion. As much as these ramblings may be helpful to others, the public display of my thoughts will also help me take ownership of my own beliefs and goals. |
