Introduction My husband and I are two thirty-somethings who are longing for a child and are doing everything possible to get there! Our infertility journey has been ongoing since August 2002. 08/2002 Started to try to conceive naturally. 02/2004 Went to OBGYN for tests after giving the "natural" way ample time. Tests were run. I was in check, but my husband came back with a low count. We know that we are working with male factor. 01/2005 Met with some of Dallas' best reproductive endocrinologists. 02/2005 Brian received an out-of-state job offer, so we packed everything up and moved! 08/2005 We bought a fancy fertility monitor. Used this for a few months and it didn't seem to help. 04/2006 Met with our new reproductive endocrinologists (REs) in Louisiana. All of the inital tests were run (hormone tests, HSG, Brian's count). Everything came back the same as the first time. 07/2006 IUI #1 (along with Clomid) came back BFN. 08/2006 IUI #2 (along with Clomid and Repronex shots) came back BFN. 10/2006 Double IUI #3 (along with Follistim shots) came back BFN. Now, I'm presently working trying to put back for IVF #1, and I hope that's all it takes!
Interests I have a lot of interests. We have an older home (approx. 70 years old) that we are in the midst of renovating. It's interesting seeing the house transform the way it has, but it's definitely a lot of work! It's a love/hate relationship. I love gardening, although the inside of my house is keeping me too busy to work on the outside. I like to collect antique plates. I have my collection on display in our formal dining room, and it looks nice if I do say so myself. I started violin lessons a few years ago, but I stopped due to me preparing for conceiving my first baby. I would love to get back into lessons again. I also enjoy wine, jewelry making, writing, drawing, reading, computer-related, cooking/baking, chocolate, canoeing, decorating, antiquing, movies/sitcoms, tex-mex & italian food, margaritas, traveling, puzzles, tennis, landscaping, baby-related, shopping, organizing, photography, HG TV, and many other things!
