| Introduction | I’m a Canadian Biathlete on the National Development Team, training with the Biathlon Alberta Training Centre (BATC) in Canmore, Alberta. I am originally from Camrose, Alberta. I was a late starter to biathlon at the age of 17 when I was introduced to x-c skiing in my high school physical education class, after which a co-worker invited me out to try biathlon shooting. I gave it a shot, loved it and have been hooked ever since! I spent four years on the University of Alberta – Augustana Faculty biathlon team and graduated in 2008 with a BSc in Environmental Sciences & Physical Education. I have been training full-time in Canmore since 2008 and working to achieve my goals in biathlon, which include racing at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. I am also working towards a career as a Patent Agent at Hicks Intellectual Property Law. |
