Introduction | Free-spirited, although sometimes obsessive compulsive and incredibly rigid, sometimes hippie. I have a knack for finding myself living and working in different parts of the world and not looking very closely before I leap. At this specific point in time I'm in Paris (4 years now), living here with my partner/boyfriend/as close as one gets to having a husband without being married guy and our (previously mentioned) 3 1/2 year old Oscar the wild. Life to date has been...shall we say, interesting? Exotic? Manic? Wild? Full of enough adventure, fun, unbelievable stories, opportunity and experience, trials and tribulations for at least several lifetimes and not just this (relatively young one)? Hell ya. And for this reason I write. And well, because, quite frankly, at this particular point in time, my head can no longer hold everything that it currently contains and I need an outlet. So here you go, a window into one's life. |
Favorite music | Anything that my lover or my brother will play on an acoustic guitar. Other men (and woman) also free to join in that mix if they can strum and sing. Strangely that description sounds like a twisted personals add. I assure you however, it is not, so please don't reply or send awkward messages. Thanks. |
Favorite books | "The Happy Hooker" until I realized that being a hooker wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Any high-end, intelligent (based on good solid research) "self-help" (barf) type of book/content. Big fan of: Brene Brown, Ekhart Tolle, Dan Siegel. I blame it all on the "Road Less Travelled" which basically unleashed a lifetime appreciation and (yes, mild obsession) with the helping of self and broadening of mind and spirit etc. etc. Other books: Travels with my Aunt, The Alchemist, The Metamorphosis, Dear God it's Me Margaret, The Cider House Rules, By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept, Where's Alice. |
