| Introduction | Painting is a wonderful way to express my feelings. I am a self taught painter and find my inspiration in the many places that I have been. Traveling is just about my favorite past time besides painting. Discovering a new place with all of its colors and vibrancy is so exciting. A few years ago my husband and I retired to Florida with dreams of living a leisurely life in paradise. We moved in temporarily with my husband's mother while choosing an area in which to live. "Mom" had a lovely home with no artwork on the walls. One of my friends is a retired art teacher. She gave me a blank canvas and told me which brushes and paints to buy and said to go home, have fun and paint something. I decided to paint the picture for "Mom". Now, all of her walls are filled with my paintings. That is how it all began. I want to bring joy to people through my work and make them feel uplifted. Nothing makes me happier than to see someone standing in front of one of my paintings and smiling. |
