Introduction TruthJournalist is a graduate of the University of West Georgia's Honors College with a degree in Mass Communications and Global Studies. She is currently working as a Research Fellow for Nonviolence International, but is also pursuing independent research on Burma. She chose to pursue journalism to give a voice to those populations who have been coerced into silence.

Favorite Movies The latest addition : Slumdog Millionaire, The Reader, Kurusawa's Ikiru, and The Pursuit of Happiness. Some of the best movies I have seen are The throne of blood, Roshomon, Good Will Hunting, Pulp Fiction, Freedom Writers, The Namesake (You should absolutely check it out!) A Mighty Heart, The Departed, The Aviator, Mulholland Drive, Scarface, Walk the Line, The Godfather, Employee of the Month, Osama, Saving Private Ryan, Persona, Bend it Like Beckham, Casablanca, Blood Diamond, The Pianist, Face Off, The Rock, Silence of the Lambs, No Country for Old Men, Down the Valley, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lawrence of Arabia, Million Dollar Baby, Jaws, The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, Gone with the Wind, My Fair Lady, Crash, Gladiator, and the list goes on and on...I am also a great fan of Satyajit Ray's films like the Appu Triolgy and Devi.
Favorite Music I believe that music speaks one language- It is music that brings different cultures together. I therefore listen to any music that represents the global culture!
Favorite Books Kite Runner, Resource Wars, A 1000 Splendid Suns, The World is Flat by Thomas L. Friedman, The Scramble for Africa by Thomas Pakenham, A Force More Powerful by Peter Ackerman and Jack Duvall, Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt, Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond, Snow by Orhan Pamuk, and many more non-fiction books.
