| Favorite movies | I miss John Hughes' 80's phase. I love anything Baz Luhrmann has touched. I love movies that make me think and movies that entertain. What I don't like are movies that require me me to find pleasure in someone else's horror or suffering. Or movies that make me nauseous with watching someone else's horror or pain. I don't find terrorizing to be a great talent. Inspiration is so much harder to achieve, and so much sweeter to experience. |

Books are my love, my passion, my idol - I could sermonize ad nauseum, so I'll give you the brief version by saying I love Anton Chekhov, I adore Guy de Maupassant, I spend many long nights with Patrick O'Brian, when I'm lonely Philippa Gregory is my best friend, I cherish Tolkien, I am a sheep of C. S. Lewis' flock, Dickens keeps me warm every winter, and I wish I'd had O. Henry's babies. |
