| Introduction | I grew up in a military family. My dad was a career air force pilot and we moved every one to three years. I went to twelve different schools in thirteen years of K-12 education. My degree is in biology, and I have had several careers before my teaching career, which began in 2004. My first year at Cherokee I taught sixth grade science, and I have been teaching seventh grade math since then. I am a runner and a long-distance hiker, and I sponsor the Cherokee Cross Country Club, as well as coach the distance runners on the track team in the spring. |
