IntroductionDr. Dijanna Figueroa – MUSE School Science Coordinator Dr. Figueroa is an expert deep-sea marine biologist and science education specialist. She is currently the science coordinator at MUSE School CA and previously worked at the University of California Santa Barbara’s Marine Science Institute as a postdoctoral scholar and researcher. Dr. Figueroa has over ten years experience communicating ocean and environmental science. Her work has been featured in a variety of mediums such as radio and television, print media, podcasts, professional and community development, and films including James Cameron’s documentary, Aliens of the Deep. She has participated in many submarine dives and developed high pressure aquariums for deep sea research. Dr. Figueroa has a BS in Marine Biology from the University of California Los Angeles and a PhD in Marine Science from the University of California Santa Barbara. She is a great addition to our team.
