Location	Rawalpindi, Pakistan
Introduction	I am a Kashmiri raised in Rawalpindi, on the Potohar Plateau where history is part of daily life. Growing up near Taxila pushed me to question my origins and the legacy of Gandhara, a region that stood at the center of political and intellectual exchange two thousand years ago. That proximity sparked a sustained interest in the Gakkhars and the documented history of upper Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. I study primary sources, archaeology, and population genetics to separate evidence from folklore. The search did not stay academic. I have traveled across nearly every district of Pakistan, studying sites, landscapes, and communities firsthand. The only person I know who has surpassed that breadth is Salman Rashid, aka @OdysseusLahori. He is my mentor, my reference point, and a personal hero. This blog examines the last two to three millennia of regional history with one aim: document what can be supported and challenge what cannot.
