Introduction Shall I begin like David Copperfield? "Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else, these pages must show. To begin my life with the beginning of my life, I record that I was born (as I have been informed ..)". 39 years of age, and having thus accomplished, for lack of a better term, a number of things, some of which include education, marriage, children(actually that would be child), friendships, family and relatively good health.
Interests Horseback riding, reading, writing, role playing video games(embarrassing but true), cooking, gardening, computers, technology, movies
Favorite Movies This one is always so hard to narrow down since there are so many. I will narrow my selection by genre and most viewed: 1. "Gone With The Wind"(Romance/Historical Drama/Epic) I do not love this movie for the romance portion, but more for the determination and tenacity of the main character Scarlet O'Hara, of whom I have looked to as my role model in life. 2. "Aliens"(sci-fi)- Again I am drawn to the main character and heroine, Ripley for her bravery and self sacrifice. 3. "Evil Dead" (horror) - This is the movie that forced me to sleep next to a large stuffed bear until if was replaced by a husband when I turned 28(I know..lame). It was also director Sam Raimi's (of "Spiderman" fame), directorial debut. 4. "On Borrowed Time"(comedy/drama)- If you liked Lionel Barrymore of Mr. Potter, "It's a Wonderful Life" fame, then you will really love him as the Grandpa who wishes death, known as the elegant Mr. Brink into an apple tree, thus preventing death in the world. 5. Old School (comedy)- Before this movie came out I would have said "History of The World" or anything by Mel Brooks; but "Old School" literally made me cry from laughing the firstfew times i watched it.
Favorite Music My music tastes are pretty diverse, so hold on: Sarah McLachlan, KD Lang, Tori Amos, Alanis Morrisette, Pink Foyd, Rush, Judas Priest, Berlioz, Beethoven, Tchaikosky, Carrie Underwood, Patsy Cline, Harry Connick jr., Peter Gabriel, and Barry Manilow just to name a few.
Favorite Books Anything by Stephen King, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, any Laura Ingalls Wilder books, anything by Dean Koontz or J.R.R. Tolkein. Also, biographies and autobiographies. My list is much longer, but this will do for now.
