| Introduction | At the age of nine, I found a how-to-sew book in the school library. As I recall, I learned some basic skills and the adage, 'a stitch in time saves nine'. Fast forward to eighth grade--I made some horrible elastic-waisted, corduroy pants, and that was enough to deter me from sewing again until I was 28. (It was 2002, if you'd like to do the math.) At which time, inspired by a random acquaintance sewist, I bought my first sewing machine and set about making curtains and pillows for my apartment. Slowly, over the years, I've attempted more projects, acquired a serger, and continue to challenge myself and learn. This blog is my sewing diary as well as, hopefully, a way to build a sewing community. Welcome! |
