How is an ankle unlike a consequence?
everybody has at least one ankle just like every choice has at least one consequence.. so if you are a war vet without legs or have lost you legs to the knee(I say knee because I am not quite sure where the ankle starts)you can do what ever you want... you wont have any consequences according to this theory.
