| Introduction | London based antiquarian bookseller working for an antiquarian bookshop (which helps, as I'm sure you'll agree), with old books, in a basement, with rats...alright not with rats, but there is the lady in charge of shipping and she is poisoning me with roughly 700 cups of tea a day. Or maybe she's keeping me alive, I can't tell. I am married to a woman who clearly wed me as the result of some bizarre Karmic backlash because she is beautiful, intelligent and talented and I am...not. Reasonably intelligent certainly (although unqualified for any field except libromancy), but under the heading 'not an oil painting' in wikipedia you will find simply a picture of me. My colleagues are so smart that I frequently hate them whilst simultaneously wanting to climb inside their skins and wear them as a disguise so that people will think I am them. So far I can't imagine this is giving a favourable view of my character, I also love animals and have been known to weep big salty tears at the sight of a really fresh, clean Jules Verne first edition. |
