Introduction	Jan Derbyshire is a performer, playwright, theatre maker, director and comedian.Her work involves solo performance, community and artists collaboration, traditional playwriting, experimental storytelling, video, words on paper, event creation and stand-up comedy. Her creation companies are Squid Ink , Myth Universe and Human Writes.She is co-artistic director of Theatre on Earth and an artistic associate of Stage Left in Calgary and the Playwrights Theatre Centre in Vancouver. Her plays have been produced at The Great Canadian Theatre Company in Ottawa, Buddies in Bad Times in Toronto, The Belfry in Victoria, Solo Collective in Vancouver, Quest Theatre in Calgary, among others. She has performed Stand up with A&E, CBC, The People's Comedy Festival, Toronto and The Vancouver International Comedy Festival.She rides a bike , spells badly and believes nothing should be taken for granted-particulary sanity.
