| Introduction | We're just a young(ish) married couple living the good (enough) life in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. With a passion for food and a desire to support and explore good restaurants, especially local businesses, we decided to start this blog- a sort of extension on the "I ate at such and such and it was awesome" comment or Facebook status update we might ordinarily pass on to family and friends. We're not trying to be food critics. We don't have a particularly sophisticated knowledge of cooking or cuisine; we're just going to go where we feel like going and then tell you about it (hence our "everyday perspective"). We also plan to generally adhere to the principal that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. If a restaurant appears on this blog, most likely it will be because we enjoyed our experience and want to share it with you. He's a true omnivore. She's been led into a happy almost-vegetarian existence due to a weird digestive disorder. He likes food spicy and she likes it sweet. We hope this difference will offer a well-rounded perspective. Stuff we already know we like: Chelsea's, La Carreta, Thai Kitchen, Whole Foods, etc. |
