Introduction A girl child waits on a window sill for her father to come from work every evening. She waits because he will cut his brown paper lunch bag into pieces of “drawing paper”. She draws on these cherished pieces of paper her first imaginings. This simple gesture from my father gave me all the support I needed as a child to know my purpose in this life.

My drawing studies continued at the Art Students League of New York and has rooted my work in the strong foundation of drawing that is essential for all good painting. I hold their four year Certificate of Fine Art Painting.

One of the aspects that is important in my painting is quality. And you who love viewing and owning quality paintings and drawings will enjoy viewing them here in my blog.

Loving to paint the portrait from life, or posthumously I explore, reveal, and honor the human spirit, one person at a time in oil on canvas. Commissions are also available in monochrome, and charcoal/pencil.

It’s been a challenging journey since those evenings sitting waiting for my father on our window sill and I am grateful for it all.
