| Introduction | Raised in small town Iowa while fortunately being exposed to multiple views of the world around me. Two substantially make me who I am today. The most glaring was, well, small town living in fly over country. Provided w/opportunities in groups, sports teams & activities while honing observation & interaction skills; learning about people at large & having a good time doing it. More importantly to my development & curiosity of the world at large stems from a parental inkling towards trips both inside & outside state borders. These endeavors played a vital role in the development & desire to explore more than anything else in my life. Fortunately, the hard working, honest, considerate & genuinely friendly demeanor of Iowans seemed to be an innate quality & something I will value till my last breath but realizing there was much more to be seen in this world could only be presented by my parents & for that, I owe them much! This blog is intended to paint a picture of the curious life & observations of an English teacher's year in Korea. |
