My blogs
| Introduction | On December 13, 1983, on an icy road in New Hampshire, I was involved in an automobile accident where I immediately sustained an incomplete, cervical spinal cord injury. My original prognosis was that I would have to live the remainder of my life as a dependent quadriplegic. After several years of intense rehabilitation, I became completely independent. I later became a mother and an Accessibilty/ADA Compliance Advocate. For the past year, I've devoted my efforts to ACCESS TO THE GARDEN. Gardening has been my therapy, both mentally and physically. It has also been my passion. As our population ages, accessibility will become an issue for a growing number of people. Access to the Garden is a Blog where I openly discuss the many challenges faced in and out of the garden. I encourage you to please share your thoughts and join our online community of gardeners on Facebook. |
