Hometown: Born in Southwest Va., grew up in the Baltimore area. Years in teaching: Starting 44nd year (1966-1967 began in Balto. Co-2000-2001- retired-35 years) Years at John Carroll: Starting 9th year at John Carroll. I teach: Photography and I am the Pacificus (yearbook) moderator. I became a teacher because… I loved my craft and I enjoyed working with young people. Most memorable moment in teacher (so far)… When a student comes back to tell me that I made a difference in their life. Favorite thing about John Carroll… The “family” feeling and the great kids! When not in school, I enjoy (or my passion is)… Outdoor activities; plein air painting.I just got a scooter. 100mpg and it is fun! My learning style/learning preference is…. Hands on; visual. I am currently learning…. I continue to explore landscape painting. My students don’t know that I… am basically quiet and shy.
